Institute: What made you take the career path of a model?

Camilla: I always wanted to work for myself, for as long as I can remember. So, I have tried to choose career paths that enable me to do so, such as modelling and having my own coaching business.

Institute: Who influenced you in your early years, how about now?

Camilla: Of course, my family had the biggest influence on me growing up. They taught me a lot of the values and principles that I carry with me today. I am now lucky to have a good circle of people around me to whom I can go for advice.  But I mainly get my guidance from daily prayers; God is a big part of my life.

Institute: You were Miss Sweden 2014, how has your life changed since?

Camilla: It changed my focus and the course of my career. I was working in the corporate world previously but was able to leave my job and support myself through work as a brand ambassador. I have now gone on to to set up my own coaching business teaching etiquette, pageantry, social confidence classes and business protocol. Through my title, I was also able to get involved in different charity causes that are close to my heart. I am always looking for more ways to give back.

Institute: What has been your proudest moment since becoming a model?

Camilla: My first big modelling contract was with a British lingerie brand called Belle et Bon Bon. I became the face of their brand, after winning a nationwide competition in 2013, so that was my first wellknown campaign.

Institute: How hard do you push yourself?

Camilla: I would say that I’m quite ambitious. I know that nothing worth having comes easily. I like setting goals and having a strategy, then I can look back years later and see which ones have been achieved.

Institute: Do you have an all time favorite model?

Camilla: I liked the style of the supermodels of the 90s, which was the time that I grew up as a teenager; they were very feminine and glamourous. I would have to say that my all-time favorite supermodel has to be be Cindy Crawford, as she really symbolized that era.

Institute: What are some of the greatest fears you think models face?

Camilla: That their careers can be very time limited, so they need to start early and probably have a backup plan. The models who are smart have used their publicity from modelling and channeled it into linked, separate business ventures such as beauty, health or fashion, generating entirely new revenue sources that leverage their successful modelling careers. Women that have succeeded in carrying out this kind of strategy are the likes of Miranda Kerr, Elle Macpherson and Gisele Bündchene.

Institute: How do you keep yourself occupied in-between projects?

Camilla: I coach others, travel and I am currently studying nutrition.

Institute: What are you working on at the moment?

Camilla: I’m working on updating my professional website with all of my courses, so please stay tuned!
